FUNCTIONING
The Exawind wind turbine consists of a series of basic components, which are the turbine, the arms, the sails, the tower, the power transmission system and the braking system, which are explained below and whose dimensions will be later specified for each model.
     
Turbine
It is a vertical axis turbine with wind resistance compensator system. In some models, each Exawind wind turbine can mount more than one turbine per mast, thus increasing the power generated by wind turbine and square meter of terrain.

The turbine of these wind turbines consists of six arms with a number of different sails in each model according to the desired surface according to wind speed of the area and power required.

Candles
The sails are automatically oriented so that the maximum wind force can be used to produce the turn and reduce the resistance to wind. They are built with special polyester compounds, to reduce weight and ensure durability, and have a blade shape to increase aerodynamic efficiency.
The use of multiple independent candles increases the Down wash force by a greater number of linear meters of edges.

Tower
It is a steel cylinder by which the turbines can be slid longitudinally for maintenance work. Its dimensions vary depending on the model.
The foundation to floor is simple given the rotation of the blades with vertical axis. This is one of the biggest advantages of the Exawind wind turbine.
    
Power transmission
The generators are placed in the base to reduce weight in the tower and facilitate maintenance. It does not harm the entire wind turbine in case of maintenance or breakdown.
In some models two generators are used to decrease the starting torque of the turbine. For example, instead of mounting a 500 kW generator, two 250 kW are installed to allow power generation at lower wind speeds. These generators are controlled by a PLC that when the first reaches the maximum power is connected the next or vice versa.
     
Break system
The braking system is made by varying the angle of the sails in reference to the direction of the wind. That is, the pressure area is automatically reduced and with it the speed of rotation of the turbine.
ADVANTAGE
The main advantages of the wind turbine Exawind are summarized in the following points:
    
The advantage of these wind turbines over similar vertical axis is the constant rotation of the sails of each arm to achieve greater resistance to the direction of wind direction and lower resistance to wind.
    
It has also been proven that turbines do not cause turbulence to their predecessors.
    
Its construction allows them to be expanded even after they are installed. The arms can be extended easily to increase the surface with more candles.
    
Without long blades as in the horizontal axis wind turbines the transport and the assembly in work is reduced allowing even to install them in places of difficult access.
    
Lower maintenance costs. The installation and maintenance of the crown is done at ground level. It is then raised to the top of the mast by an automated system of the wind turbine itself.
    
Respectful with the environment. It is the biggest argument of interest for the respect with the birds, since these are not surprised by the cut of the blades.
    
Silent. When the blades do not cross with the vertical tower the turbine lacks vibrations and noise.
    
Minimal efforts in the foundation. The gyroscope effect that the turbine turns produces compensates the forces creating the balance of this one.

Ideal for mounting in urban areas and on buildings, for the aforementioned characteristics.
